Bagelz 20 - OSI 6

GLASTONBURY

Again, Team OSI fell too far behind at the beginning of the game. Again, they couldn't catch up, losing 20-6 to Bagelz. And again, another Open Solutions player got hurt, limping home after the game.

Still, they played well defensively and held Bagelz to only 5 runs over the last four innings. They also had some fine hitting performances, especially Mark "18 inches" Starybrat, who went 4 for 4, including a long triple. Amy Baldwin (3 for 4) and Jessica Hennigan (2 for 4) also had multiple hit games.

Best of all, they had the largest fan turnout of the season. Too bad that to watch the game at Welles field the crowd had to stare directly into the sun and are now all blind.

Yet after the game, some of the Bagelz players had encouraging words. "We know what you're going through. We were there last year," said one. "We only won two games." Another added, "Don't worry. You’ll get one."

From your mouth to the baseball gods' ears.
